Vision

 VISION

The vision of the Lord's House of Prayer as given to Mark King, Founder, comes from the wheels mentioned in Ezekiel 1:19,20.

"AND WHENEVER THE LIVING BEINGS MOVED, THE WHEELS MOVED WITH THEM . . . WHEREVER THE SPIRIT WAS ABOUT TO GO, THEY WOULD GO IN THAT DIRECTION."

  • The revelation we receive from this is that each body of believers is like a wheel.
  • The axle is our Lord Jesus - everything is centered on Him.
  • The wheel bearings are our pastors.  They must stay well oiled in the Holy Spirit and function with one another to be most effective.
  • The hub is the body of believers and the spokes are the ministries of the church, extending out into the community.  They are held together by love, and banded for protection by prayer.

This concept allows Jesus to be our Great Shepherd and allows ministry to flow out from Him into the community.  Our purpose is to manifest the Kingdom of God as the Spirit leads in both demonstration and declaration.

We also see a major part of our ministry taking the church to the people, rather than establishing one central location that peole must drive great distances to attend.  We believe the Lord has directed us to take the church into various communities as He would lead us.  This allows for diverse expression and culture while multiplying the impact of unified strength.  One church, many locations with the mission being to Establish, Equip and Encourage.
